Ventiva Privacy Policy

At Ventiva we take your right to privacy seriously and will never sell your personal data to any third party. This policy describes how and why Ventiva, Inc. (“Ventiva,” “we,” or “us”), might collect, store, use, and/or share (collectively, “Process”) your information when you use our website and its online services and content (collectively, the “Site”). If you do not agree with anything contained in this policy, please do not use the Site.

Information We Collect Automatically

For all users who visit our Site, we collect certain information automatically that may include your Internet service provider, Internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, and operating system. Other information collected may include the date and time of your arrival at and departure from the Site, the names and web addresses of referring websites, the specific pages you choose to visit on the Site, and certain search terms that you may have employed to find the Site. Use: Information collected automatically from users is used only for purposes of review, by us and our Site administration consultants, including to tailor pages to your specific technology environment, analyze traffic and search trends, generate anonymized aggregate demographic information, and for general Site administration.

Storage/Sharing: We store and retain the information we collect for only as long as it is necessary for the legitimate business purpose(s) for which we originally collected it (see above) or as required by law. We do not sell any such automatically collected information. We may share this information with service providers contracted by us to assist with administration and operation of our Site, or otherwise as compelled by law.

Information You Provide to Us Voluntarily

Certain actions you take on the Site may result in you providing additional personal information to us. For example, you may have voluntarily given us additional personal information about yourself by completing an online form or online registration, in order to request company or product information from Ventiva, request a quote, or engage in other similar user-initiated contact. We will collect and Process the information you provide, which may include, but is not necessarily limited to, email address, name, mailing address, company, title, phone, and areas of product or technology interest or concern.

Use: Information collected as set forth above is used by us for purposes of responding to your request/enquiry, conducting ongoing business transactions as may result from that initial request/enquiry, making ongoing marketing communications in relation to your request/enquiry, tracking any orders you place for Ventiva products, and internally for analysis, planning, and management of our sales and marketing efforts, product planning, quality assurance, and logistics planning.

Storage/Sharing: Your information will be used by us for as long as it is necessary for the business purpose(s) for which we originally collected it, for example if doing so is necessary to conduct a business transaction or interaction with you, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes or collect fees owed, or is otherwise permitted or required by applicable law, rule or regulation. We may further retain information in an anonymous or aggregated form where that information would not identify you personally. We do not sell any such information we collect or Process, provided however, we may share this information with certain third-party businesses who have been contracted by us to assist with conducting our business related to you, which may include, but is not necessarily limited to,-authorized sales channel and customer service partners (sales representatives, resellers, or distributors), authorized logistics partners (e.g., shipping companies, customs agents), for the purpose of facilitating Ventiva’s business transactions with you, or otherwise as compelled by law.

Information from Third Parties

We may obtain personal information about you through partners, suppliers, and other third parties. The parties from whom we obtain information are typically in one of the following categories: Ventiva business partners, suppliers of products or services related to our business, hosts or vendors at marketing events or trade shows where we participate, social media platforms where we are active, and research partners including market research companies. Ventiva takes reasonable steps to confirm that information we receive from these third parties has been collected with your consent or that these parties are otherwise legally permitted to disclose your personal information to us. This kind of data is used to enhance our Site, online tools, and product offerings, respond to your inquiries, provide information about Ventiva’s products and technology to you, and/or conduct business transactions with you.

Children and Parents

Ventiva does not intend to collect personally identifiable information from children under age 16 without permission of the child’s parent or legal guardian. Children under the age of 16 should submit personally identifiable information to Ventiva only with the explicit permission of their parent or legal guardian. If your child has submitted personal information and you would like to request that such information be removed, you may do so as indicated below and Ventiva will use reasonable efforts to comply with your request.

Questions and Rights Regarding Your Personal Information

We seek to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, use, and disclosure using appropriate physical, technical, organizational and administrative security measures based on the type of personal data and how we are processing that data.

If you have submitted personally identifiable information to Ventiva electronically and would like to understand more about what we do with it, or want it removed or modified, please contact us at privacy@ventiva.com. We will use reasonable efforts to respond to your inquiries and comply with your request.

In addition to, and without limiting the general nature of the foregoing, if you are a resident in certain jurisdictions, you may have certain specific rights regarding your personal information as outlined below. If you are a resident or data subject in such a location, the more protective of the general obligations here, or the specific obligations under the respective jurisdictions’ law, will prevail. Please note that in some circumstances, we may not be able to fully comply with your request, if it is frivolous or extremely impractical, if it jeopardizes the rights of others, or if it is not required by law. In those circumstances Ventiva will respond to notify you of such a decision. In some cases, we may also need you to provide us with additional information, which may include Personal Data, as necessary to verify your identity and the nature of your request.

Cookies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to enable our servers to recognize your web browser, tell us how and when you visit, analyze trends, learn about our users and operate and improve our Site. Cookies are small pieces of data placed on your computer, tablet, phone or similar device when you use that device to access our Site. The following types of Cookies may be used by our Site:

Transfer of Your Personal Data: The Ventiva Site is hosted and operated in the United States by Ventiva and its service providers. By using the Site, you acknowledge and agree that any personal data about you, regardless of whether provided by you or obtained from a third party, is being provided to Ventiva in the U.S. and will be hosted on U.S. servers, and you authorize Ventiva to transfer, store and Process your information to and in the U.S., and possibly other countries.

Disclosure in Corporate Transactions: We may disclose personal information as part of a contemplated or actual corporate transaction such as a reorganization, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets or stock (including in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceedings). We may also disclosure your information to the extent such disclosure is compelled by applicable law or regulation.

Modification: Ventiva reserves the right to modify this privacy policy at any time. We will promptly reflect any such modifications on our website.
