Carl is an internationally recognized veteran of the San Francisco Bay Area’s high-technology industry. His career spans more than 25 years and includes Chairman and CEO positions, as well as strategic advisory roles to Venture Capital firms, Fortune 100 companies and Silicon Valley startups. Carl’s specialties include change strategies that help move companies from selling technologies to providing solutions, as well as acquisition strategy and integration, building and leading strong executive teams and internal cultural development. Carl is a well-known media personality and often speaks on trends in technology and on the intersection between technological evolution and modern culture. Carl currently serves as Chairman of MOSAID (TSX: MSD), and is on the boards of Immersion Technologies (Nasdaq: IMMR) and Peregrine Semiconductor. He is also Chairman and CEO of Ventiva. Active in philanthropic causes, Carl resides in the East Bay of San Francisco with his wife and four sons.
Dr. Dan Schlitz founded Ventiva based on his ground-breaking work in convection cooling and electro-hydrodynamic flow while at Purdue University. Moving the technology out of Purdue in 2004, Dan continued to refine and enhance his work for four years before seeking growth capital in Silicon Valley in 2008. As Ventiva’s chief technologist, Dan leads the research group which is responsible for inventing next generation thermal management technologies. Prior to Ventiva, Dan worked at General Electric and Rockwell Automation. With over 10 publications in the field of convection cooling and electro-hydrodynamic flow, he also has 8 issued patents and 21 patents pending. Dan received his B.A. in Physics from the University of Wisconsin and holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. An avid skier and biker, Dan works and lives in the Chicago area with his wife and daughter.
Scott drives Ventiva’s engineering teams and manufacturing operations. He has a 20-year career focused on the development of new products and manufacturing of complex devices through worldwide supply chains. His drive and expertise have led to a number of accomplishments including establishing new business units, building a factory from the ground up in Beijing, introducing a new line of tunable lasers for the telecom industry, and bringing a new factory online through to ISO 9000 certification. Prior to Ventiva, Scott was Director of Global Manufacturing at RFMD, the Vice President of Manufacturing for Santur Corporation, and Director of Wireless Products for STATSChipPAC. Scott holds 5 U.S. patents and has 8 pending. A graduate of Iowa State University who has raced motorcycles professionally throughout the U.S., Scott lives in the San Francisco Bay area with his wife and two children.
